Patent Annuity Specialist

Role: Patent Annuity Specialist supporting global patent portfolio management within a biopharma company's Intellectual Property organization. Responsibilities include monitoring multi-jurisdictional patent maintenance deadlines, coordinating payments with vendors and foreign associates, resolving data discrepancies, reviewing patent correspondence, and updating docketing procedures. The role also involves supporting patent acquisitions, divestitures, and legal entity changes, while serving as a subject matter expert on patent annuity processes. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years of patent annuity experience in law firms, legal departments, or in-house IP teams; strong knowledge of U.S., PCT, EP, and foreign patent prosecution and maintenance; proficiency with IP docketing systems, patent databases, and legal documentation; excellent attention to detail, communication, organization, and discretion. Preferred: experience with biotech/pharma patent portfolios, international patent systems, supporting complex technology portfolios, and working with third-party annuity providers.
