General Summary:
Pain Territory Account Manager (PTAM) responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with institutional decision makers and affiliated HCPs to promote safe and effective use of JOURNAVX in acute pain. Leads engagement with 15β20 institutions (hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers) and select physicians within hospital settings/networks; works with Territory Business Managers.
Candidate must reside within Northwest Arkansas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships across multiple layers of hospital systems (medical/administrative staff, pharmacies, formulary decision makers, KTLs)
- Develop expertise in clinical attributes and patient unmet need; educate HCPs on appropriate use
- Navigate formulary processes; deliver value content for timely inclusion on formularies, pathways, and/or protocols
- Understand customer/account/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, decision maker relationships, patient protocols, referral navigation, and access drivers/barriers
- Implement strategic account plans to drive growth and patient-focused solutions
- Drive sales performance; meet/exceed forecasts and territory budgets
- Collaborate with field team and HQ colleagues to align business plans and initiatives
- Role model ethics and integrity to support compliance and earn trust
Required Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- 5β7+ years biotech sales; hospital/institution product launch experience highly desired
- 3+ years account management; ability to leverage institutional relationships
- Experience navigating hospital systems and formulary/pharmaceutical review to gain access and influence community prescribers
- Experience implementing inpatient formularies, protocols, pathways, and order sets
- Strong IT/CRM skills (including Veeva)
- New product launch experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Establish required customer credentials (trainings, background screens, drug testing, vaccinations)
- Must live/work in territory (may require proximity to major airport)
- Valid driverβs license
- Travel up to 80%; work after hours as needed; 10β30% overnight travel
Pay Range:
- $133,600β$200,400; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
