Pain Regional Account Manager (Southeast Florida)

Role: The Pain Regional Account Manager is a field-based position responsible for providing temporary coverage across assigned territories to address vacancies, leaves, and key business needs within Vertex's Pain Business Unit. Objectives include maintaining business continuity, supporting priority accounts, and executing commercial strategies during deployment periods of approximately 10-12 weeks. Core responsibilities encompass rapid deployment and customer relationship management, account planning, territory assessment, and supporting onboarding of new representatives. The role involves frequent regional travel (up to 80%), working closely with regional and area leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Market Access, Medical, and Marketing. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, including 3+ years in account management, with demonstrated success in diverse customer settings and managing institutional relationships. Skills include strong market assessment, adaptability, CRM proficiency (e.g., Veeva), and excellent collaboration. Preferred qualifications involve experience in community and institutional accounts, inpatient formulary implementation, and familiarity with disease areas relevant to Vertex’s pipeline.
