Pain Regional Account Manager (San Diego or Los Angeles, CA)

Role: The Pain Regional Account Manager is a field-based position providing temporary, flexible coverage across assigned regions to support the Pain Business Unit during vacancies, leaves, and strategic initiatives. Objectives include maintaining business continuity, driving account engagement, and supporting new hire onboarding. Responsibilities encompass rapid deployment to new territories, establishing and maintaining customer relationships, executing account and territory plans, and ensuring seamless transitions of customer ownership. The role collaborates closely with Area and Regional Field Leaders, cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, medical, market access), and utilizes tools like Veeva for activity documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 7+ years in pharmaceutical or biotech sales, including 3+ years of account management and institutional relationship experience. Proven ability to navigate dynamic, ambiguous environments and manage multiple territory transitions is required. Skills include rapid market assessment, adaptability, collaboration, and proficiency with CRM systems. High-value specifics: Experience with inpatient formulary implementation, protocols, and pathways; familiarity with community and institutional account engagement; and field deployment readiness for up to 80% travel, often involving working after hours. The position reports to the Area Field Leader and supports strategic coverage for the Pain Business Unit through short-term deployments (approximately 10-12 weeks). Work setup involves working within assigned territories with regular travel and the necessity for a valid driver’s license.
