Pain Regional Account Manager (Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA)

Role: The Pain Regional Account Manager is a field-based position responsible for providing flexible, high-impact coverage across assigned regions to address territory vacancies, leaves of absence, and strategic business needs within the Pain Business Unit. The primary objective is to sustain commercial performance by establishing and maintaining customer relationships, executing account plans, and supporting business continuity during temporary deployments. Responsibilities include rapid onboarding and transition management, engaging healthcare professionals and institutional stakeholders, executing territory and account strategies, and collaborating closely with regional and cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Medical, and Market Access. The role may involve assuming PTAM or TBM responsibilities and supports onboarding and coaching of new hires. Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience with at least 3 years in account management, and proficiency with CRM tools such as Veeva. Preferred experience encompasses community and institutional account engagement, familiarity with inpatient formularies, protocols, and pathways, and adaptability in fast-changing environments. High-value specifics include the role’s focus on the Pain therapeutic area, the need for extensive travel (up to 80%), and deployment in diverse geographies. The position reports to the Area Field Leader, with responsibilities spanning approximately 10-12 weeks per deployment, emphasizing agility, customer engagement, and strategic execution in a dynamic, matrixed field environment.
