Packaging Technician

Role Summary

Packaging Technician responsible for kitting, liquid and powder filling, labeling, and lyophilization support in a GMP/QSR environment.

Responsibilities

• Setup and run automated liquid filling, labeling, and packaging
• Set up equipment and run manual liquid and powder portable filling equipment
• Perform daily filling, labeling, and kitting duties according to the production schedule
• Assist in the Lyophilization process of product by following company procedures
• Wash and autoclave parts and tubing for various filling applications
• Comply with GMP and QSR requirements
• Accurately count and return all materials as required
• Read, follow, and sign off on SOPs for filling, labeling, and packaging
• Read, follow and sign completed and verified steps for Work Instruction documents
• Maintain and clean Controlled Environment Rooms, dry rooms, and filling equipment
• Clean all equipment, parts, and facilities after project completion
• Assist in training new personnel
• Perform other tasks as directed by management and supervision
• Must be able to lift, move, and operate heavy machinery

Qualifications

• Follows departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and safety standards
• Ability to wear a half face respirator for extended periods
• Good English communication skills to understand and follow instructions
• Basic math skills
• Computer literate
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Ability to meet packaging and filling requirements on schedule
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Adaptable to quickly changing processes or environments
• Ability to setup, troubleshoot, and understand basics of department machinery

Education

• HS Diploma or GED
• 2-4 years experience related to duties preferred
