The Packaging Operator II is responsible for safely operating packaging equipment to package in-process products in accordance with the Packaging Order while following SOPs and maintaining 100% cGMP compliance during operations.
Schedule: 2nd Shift 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday
Essential Functions:
- Checks and verifies product/outserts/label per product specification in batch record, work order, and packaging records.
- Checks proper setting and operation of all packaging equipment in the packaging rooms.
- Ensures the packaging line/room is clean, organized, and ready for packaging operations.
- Performs packaging batch record documentation.
- Performs in-process checks during packaging operation and records data in the packaging batch record.
- Checks calibration status of scales, balances, and equipment; manages proper disposal of rejected products and packaging components in designated areas.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performs other functions as required or assigned.
- Complies with all company policies and standards.
- May monitor equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School or GED (preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years (HS/GED) with 2+ years in Pharmaceuticals Packaging/Manufacturing; or less than HS/GED with 3+ years proven related experience in Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing environment.
- Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of safety, cGMP, and SOP.
- Additional Requirement: Successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test.
Compensation/Benefits: Hourly base salary ranges from $19.00 to $24.50 per hour. Benefits include comprehensive health/insurance and 401(k) matching.
