Job Summary
- Report into the Commercial – Rare Disease Team, Ophthalmology Division; cover Columbus, Ohio and surrounding area.
- Drive physician and patient identification, market development, and disease/brand awareness in the assigned territory.
- Maintain knowledge of targeted disease states and product labeling; achieve territory sales targets and business objectives via account/customer-specific strategies.

Responsibilities
- Drive demand through clinical selling and education to referring and treating HCPs on Cortrophin Gel and ILUIVEN.
- Build and execute territory strategy and account-specific plans to drive physician/patient identification, market development, and brand awareness in Ophthalmology and Retina; assess sales opportunities to maintain and grow the business.
- Prioritize and manage resources and time to optimize access to and development of high-potential accounts.
- Develop individual account plans for key accounts and physicians; maximize sales results.
- Build/maintain physician relationships using pre-call planning, insight-driven call plans, and post-call analysis.
- Collaborate with Ophthalmology brand team and coordinate with MSLs, Market Access, patient HUB, and other internal stakeholders to ensure access and logistics for patients.
- Partner externally with key accounts/physicians to drive patient identification through market development and education; develop strategies to retain customers.
- Demonstrate integrity and compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree in business or science preferred.
- 5+ years success in rare disease, retina and/or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
- Strongly preferred: experience calling on Retina Specialists, Ophthalmologists, and Eye Care Professionals.
- Ideal/preferred: sales experience across multiple ophthalmology sub-specialty areas.
- Plus: product launch experience; working knowledge of government and commercial payers.
- Required: understanding/experience with in-house patient support services.
- Preferred: understanding of buy-and-bill, patient services, and specialty channel distribution.
- Familiarity with relevant legal/regulatory pharmaceutical requirements.
- Experience leading/executing territory-level business planning.
- Driver’s license; travel 50%+ as needed (occasional overnight).
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed for physician/patient events (in person/virtual).
- Ability to manage a multi-state territory (depending on geography).

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $160,000–$200,000; eligible for short-term and long-term incentive programs based on performance/company results.
