The Ophthalmology Account Director (OAD) Southeast represents the ophthalmology product portfolio and serves as a liaison between customers and Regeneron.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead account management within an integrated account business plan, educating customers on and supporting pull-through of provider contracts and other partnership opportunities.
- Maximize customer executive engagement, reach, frequency, and GPO contract education/pull-through.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Reimbursement, and other internal teams to develop and execute account plans.
- Identify, engage, and educate relevant customer audiences (C-suite, KOLs, business and reimbursement staff).
- Explain quarterly GPO program changes, deliver regular contract performance updates, and conduct quarterly business reviews.
- Gather and share customer feedback with Market Access and Brand leadership.
- Seek engagement at regional and national retinal meetings; understand payer mix, inventory levels, operational challenges, and reimbursement dynamics.
- Spend ~75% of time in customer-facing activities; prioritize in-person meetings when possible.
Qualifications:
- 10–12 years progressive industry/relevant professional experience; 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech or related experience.
- Experience launching Specialty Pharmaceutical/Biologics products/indications.
- Proven relationships with executive decision-makers from retina and other market GPOs and institutional trade partners; prior retina account or brand experience.
- Communication, negotiation, presentation, and content development skills.
- Strategic planning (including event planning/meeting facilitation) and understanding of financial concepts/contracting; ability to measure contract performance.
- Results orientation and collaborative/influencing abilities; outsourced vendor management skills.
- Valued experience: sales operations, corporate partnerships, marketing, sales management, and/or supply chain.

- Travel 50–75% (including weekends as necessary).
