Role Summary
Operator HSE - Chief Officer at Lilly Fire Department – Indianapolis. Leads training program oversight and policy development within Lilly Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE). Reports to the HSE Senior Manager / Lilly Fire Rescue Chief and ensures compliance, documentation, and accountability in program delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight for implementation, scheduling and delivery of Lilly Fire Rescue training programs.
- Assess current LFR training curriculums and coordinate continuing education to meet business needs.
- Coordinate with Lilly L&D partners for program development.
- Assess and review LFR policies and procedures for continuous improvement; maintain policies to fit business needs.
- Develop and oversee implementation of LFD EMS quality assurance for run response and reporting; support on-site emergency preparedness and response.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (or 5 years equivalent work experience).
- Technical writing skills; project management experience; basic data analysis capability.
- Effective time management and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication; strong collaboration skills internal and external to the company; computer and administrative skills.
- Preferred: Fire and EMS background, understanding of emergency response regulatory requirements; experience in improving or developing a positive safety culture.

Additional Requirements
- This position is a Monday through Friday administrative role supporting a 24/7 operation; location in Indianapolis; minimal travel may be required.
