Role Summary
Operations Supervisor - 3rd shift at Perrigo. Schedule is 9:30pm - 6:30am, Sunday to Thursday. Salary starting at $85,000.
Responsibilities
- Supervises 20-40 Manufacturing and Packaging employees across multiple production lines or within a Manufacturing suite and across shifts; assigns tasks and adjusts workloads to meet production goals; schedules and monitors training; monitors production quality; troubleshoots and resolves problems.
- Provide high quality support to their team and across the organization by building strong relationships and knowledge of PerrigoβΓΓ΄s policies, procedures, and resources.
- Support, practice and lead a safe environment and culture for the team.
- Coach and develop their team resulting in increased trust, engagement and retention.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports diversity and enables their people to bring their authentic self to Perrigo every day.
- May test or evaluate process changes and recommend their implementation or rejection; supervise ongoing or special maintenance or installation projects; work with engineering staff to select or evaluate new equipment, both on capital projects and ancillary equipment.
- May participate in capacity or budget planning; gather and evaluate information; make and present recommendations to the plant manager or other management staff.
- Support the PWS process which includes RedZone tracking system to measure OEE.
- Perform steps to edit including sick and vacation time and approve payroll by the due date to ensure employees are paid on time.
- Perform disciplinary actions: including writing up the disciplinary letter, informing and meeting the shop steward to present the disciplinary letter to the employee.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, including well-developed communication, performance management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide work direction across multiple production areas.
- Four years of production supervision experience.
- Previous experience working in an FDA regulated industry preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability.
- Sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
