Role Summary
Operational Design Analytics, Manager — Join Amgen’s mission to serve patients by driving data-driven clinical trial planning and execution within the Clinical Program Operations function. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop predictive analytics and improve the data ecosystem to support high-potential programs for patients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- In partnership with the ODA Senior Team, surface feasibility parameters and historical trial metrics to inform study planning.
- Leverage internal data and predictive analytics tools to inform study planning and placement decisions.
- Collate global site performance data to support recommendations for optimal geographic footprint.
- Identify potential enrollment challenges by evaluating how eligibility criteria impact recruitment and trial duration.
- Harmonize and master data sources for study planning and predictive modeling.
- Drive data quality and process improvements to accelerate efficiencies within the ODA Team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional data colleagues to curate training datasets for machine learning applications.
- Apply REM data insights to support Diversity Action Plan targets and mitigation plans.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree
- Or Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience
- Or Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience
- Or Associate degree and 8 years of relevant experience
- Or High school diploma / GED and 10 years of relevant experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS/BSc in the sciences or RN
- 9 years’ work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 6 years of biopharmaceutical clinical development
- Experience in maximizing data and analytics to inform clinical trial planning
- Experience with clinical data sources and fit-for-purpose application
- Ability to integrate and synthesize data for operational planning and data-driven decision making
- Understanding of how data and analytics inform study design and operational planning

- Data storytelling and communication in cross-functional settings

- Predictive analytics and modeling concepts
- Proficiency with clinical data sources and analytics platforms
