Open-Source Technology Lead

Key Responsibilities
- Own container management for open source multilingual/data-quality tooling (build, harden, maintain Docker/Kubernetes images and deployment pipelines).
- Design/operate container orchestration and registry strategy (build, scan, sign, version, promote images) for secure, reproducible environments.
- Lead open source package management (evaluate, onboard, version, retire R/Python packages) in a controlled, auditable manner.
- Establish/maintain internal package repositories/mirrors (e.g., CRAN/Posit, PyPI mirrors, Artifactory/Nexus).
- Drive open source compliance (license scanning, vulnerability management, SBOM generation, policy enforcement).
- Define/enforce intake/approval/risk-assessment processes; embed compliant tooling into multilingual data-quality pipelines.

Qualifications & Experience
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computational Linguistics, or related.
- 5+ years hands-on software engineering with open source technologies/communities.
- Deep, hands-on R and Python expertise (development + dependency management).
- Strong production container management experience (Docker, Kubernetes, build/scan/sign pipelines, registries).
- Experience with open source package management tools/workflows (CRAN/Posit, PyPI/conda/pip, Artifactory, Nexus, JFrog).
- Solid open source compliance knowledge (licenses such as GPL/MIT/Apache, SBOM/vulnerability scanning, governance).
- Strong communication/collaboration; Agile environment.
- Preferred/plus: multilingual/NLP localization/text-processing frameworks; cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP); Pharmaverse/PHUSE involvement; active open source contributor.

- Princeton, NJ: $94,180–$114,124 starting range.
