North Dallas field-based territory (live within territory): Dallas, Fort Worth, Abilene, El Paso, Lubbock, Amarillo.
Reporting to the District Manager, the Oncology Specialist will build and implement territory business plans aligned with brand objectives and business goals. Demonstrates thorough disease-state understanding; builds strong relationships with oncologists, nursing/office staff, and other oncology care continuum stakeholders; collaborates with the extended team network. Builds a comprehensive strategic business plan with measurable objectives and action-oriented strategies, including compliant, ethical execution and responsible resource allocation.
Key accountabilities/core responsibilities:
- Meet/exceed assigned sales goal.
- Present approved disease-state and product information using consultative, persuasive selling (per AbbVie Promotional Policy).
- Use sales analytics and customer intelligence to create strategic, high-impact plans.
- Execute sales/marketing strategies with cross-functional partners and approved resources.
- Maintain expertise in marketplace/territory changes and disease state/product knowledge.
- Develop and execute call plan to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Collaborate effectively with territory partners/external counterparts.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and AbbVie policies.
Qualifications/requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree preferred.
- 6+ years Oncology; solid tumor sales preferred (or hospital sales/strong account management considered).
- Buy-and-Bill experience preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations.
- Clear, effective communication; consultative selling; competitive selling skills.
- Collaborative team mindset; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Pass background check and additional institution/health-facility screenings (may include immunization, TB, HIV, hepatitis, drug screening).
- Regular business travel; ability to drive (valid driverβs license) and pass pre-employment drug screening.
