Oncology Sales Specialist (field-based) – Ann Arbor Territory
Responsibilities:
- Partner with customers to address identified needs; educate key stakeholders on the company’s leading immunotherapy compound.
- Act as primary point of contact; meet with key customers to understand practice structure, business model, and key influencers.
- Demonstrate in-depth product/brand positioning knowledge vs. competition in discussions with HCPs.
- Apply knowledge of cancer staging, treatment options, dosing schedules, and impacts on patients, including use/impact of clinical trials across tumor types/therapies.
- Analyze buying trends across complex distribution channels (e.g., GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies) and account purchase/prescribing patterns.
- Develop short- and long-term account plans with stakeholders; execute proactively with the Customer Team Leader.
- Influence beyond geography by asking strategic questions, using insights to position oncology brands and collaborate on customized strategies.
- Coordinate with the in-scope customer team to ensure a consistent customer experience.
Territory & Travel:
- Field-based; covers Ann Arbor, Royal Oak, Southfield, Commerce, Dearborn, Monroe, and Garden City.
- Travel for customer visits and national meetings/conferences; overnight requirements vary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree + 6–8 years sales OR high school diploma + 10+ years equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of oncology field sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to drive.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Sales/marketing or oncology clinical performance; clinical oncology experience across multiple solid tumors (including Urology or Hematology).
