Responsibilities
- Field-based Oncology Sales Specialist for Eastern Long Island, NY (includes parts of Nassau and Suffolk County); attain/exceed assigned sales goals.
- Engage customers, ensure a seamless Oncology customer experience, and build relationships by understanding practice structure, business model, and key influencers.
- Use approved messaging to communicate patient-centered rationale for Oncology products in indicated uses.
- Apply knowledge of multidisciplinary/extended care teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and tumor/disease guidelines.
- Analyze trends in a complex buying environment (GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies); review purchasing/prescribing patterns (outpatient vs inpatient infusion, hospital/GPO contracts).
- Develop and execute short- and long-term account plans with the local team and district manager (Oncology Customer Team Leader).
- Ask insightful questions to identify customer priorities; collaborate with Customer Team Leader, Key Account Manager, Nurse Educator, Field Reimbursement Associate, Medicare Account Executive, and others to ensure consistent customer experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 8+ years sales experience OR high school diploma + 10+ years equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers.
- Valid driver’s license; able to drive; reside in or within reasonable distance to the district.
- Travel required, including 10–15% overnight; willingness to travel for meetings/conferences.

Preferred
- Oncology field sales or clinical oncology experience; documented strong performance in sales/marketing or oncology clinical roles.
