Field-based Oncology Sales Representative/Specialist (North Carolina East territory; major centers: Columbia, SC; Fayetteville, NC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Wilmington, NC). Candidates must reside within the territory.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary contact; meet stakeholders to understand practice structure, business model, and key influencers; build relationships to uncover needs.
- Create a compelling rationale for oncology product value; compare/position brands vs. competitors.
- Use knowledge of cancer staging, treatment options, and dosing schedules.
- Understand significance of clinical trials across tumor types/therapies.
- Analyze buying trends across multiple distribution channels (GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies).
- Review/evaluate prescribing and purchasing patterns (outpatient vs. inpatient infusion, hospital contracts, etc.).
- Develop and execute short- and long-term account plans in collaboration with the Oncology Customer Team Leader and account team.
- Share best practices across customers.
- Influence beyond territory/indication with strategic questions; tailor solutions and collaborate on customized strategies.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree + 6+ years sales OR HS diploma + 10+ years equivalent experience.
- 0β2 years field-based experience.
- Valid driverβs license; able to drive; required travel (up to ~25% overnight/month).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- 2+ years oncology therapeutic field sales; strong sales/marketing or oncology clinical performance; clinical oncology across multiple solid tumors.
