Responsibilities:
- Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the Albuquerque, New Mexico territory.
- Ensure customers have a seamless experience by meeting key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business model, and influencers; build relationships and trust to uncover needs.
- Use approved resources/messaging to communicate a compelling, patient-centered rationale for oncology products.
- Demonstrate knowledge of extended care/multidisciplinary teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and guidelines across tumors/diseases.
- Analyze trends in a complex buying environment (GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies); review product purchase/prescription patterns (outpatient vs. inpatient infusion, hospital/GPO contracts, etc.).
- Develop and execute short- and long-term account plans in collaboration with the local team and district manager (Oncology Customer Team Leader).
- Ask insightful questions to understand customer priorities and support relevant product conversations.
- Collaborate with the in-scope customer team to ensure consistent customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree + 6 years sales experience OR high school diploma + 8 years equivalent experience.
- Healthcare/scientific/oncology experience strongly preferred (pharma/biotech/medical devices preferred); other equivalent experience acceptable.
- Valid driverβs license; able to drive.
- Travel as required; overnight travel 10β15%.
- Reside in or within reasonable distance to the district.
Preferred experience/skills:
- 2+ years oncology field-based experience selling oncology therapeutics to oncology customers.
- Oncology field sales or clinical oncology experience.
