Job Summary (Primary Function)
- The Oncology/Hematology Specialist acts as primary customer contact for demand creation by executing the marketing strategy and promoting products.
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)
- Travel as required; accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
- Engage customers via in-person, virtual, or as requested, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Execute marketing strategies; deliver branded sales messages and disease-state education; implement planned promotional programs.
- Represent the company professionally, compliantly, and ethically.
- Provide feedback on marketing tools/tactics and evaluate effectiveness of sales activities.
- Use team members to meet customer needs and ensure access to Incyte products for patients.
- Provide exceptional customer service through total account management, including ensuring product access and triaging medical or reimbursement issues.
- Demonstrate and communicate in depth knowledge of clinical benefits to external stakeholders.
- Develop/maintain disease-state knowledge and strong selling skills.
- Create/maintain a strategic business plan reflecting local market and account knowledge.
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Local Oncology market knowledge.
- Customer-centric selling approach.
- Valid driverโs license (or ability to obtain if required) and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work effectively in matrix teams.
- Ability to gain access and build strong relationships with community and academic healthcare providers.
- Documented successful sales performance; strong business analytics and account management skills.
- Minimum relevant experience in Hematology/Oncology (preference for hematology).
- Several years of successful biotech/pharmaceutical sales experience (or equivalent).
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to travel by various modes (car/air/train), including overnights (territory-dependent).
- Demonstrated leadership; inclusive team environment.
- Product โaccessโ knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong business planning acumen.
