Oncology Field Medical Director, Thoracic (non-MD)

Role: Field Medical Scientific Expert supporting Pfizer’s Thoracic oncology portfolio in the New England region. Primary objectives include delivering scientific education to healthcare professionals, gathering clinical insights, supporting trial site identification, and addressing scientific questions to improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities encompass executing medical strategies within the territory, maintaining expertise in lung cancer treatments, providing compliant medical information, leading advisory boards, collaborating on clinical trial site selection (including underrepresented populations), and representing Pfizer at professional societies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in health sciences required; PharmD, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree highly preferred. Experience: 6+ years for PharmD/PhD, 8+ years for MSc/MBA, 10+ years for BSc/Ba; recognized subject matter expertise and leadership skills essential. High-value specifics: Oncology, lung cancer, biologics or small molecules, clinical trial support (including site identification and ISR processes), and ability to manage extensive travel (60-80%). Work setup: Remote field-based role, requiring proximity to a major airline hub with frequent travel. Preferred: Familiarity with SOPs/regulations and prior field medical experience.
