Role Summary
Oncology Business Director, MPN West South Central. The Oncology Business Director (OBD) leads a team dedicated to success within the hematology/oncology community. The role provides strong leadership and direction to maximize business opportunities and work collaboratively with other key functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction to the OTSs and OASs on the marketing, allocating, monitoring and leveraging of internal/external resources (e.g., discretionary spend).
- Develop local Thought Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.
- Conduct sales meetings to drive performance.
- Share best practices with direct reports, peers and HQ.
- Communicate and coach the execution of product marketing strategies.
- Conduct annual and on-going performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company policies.
- Lead OTSs and OASs to meet revenue targets.
- Ability to motivate, retain, and develop OTSs and OASs.
- Evaluate and coach field sales team members on product knowledge, understanding of disease states, and the Oncology market.
- Screen, interview, and hire top talent for the Oncology Therapeutic Specialist (OTS) and/or Oncology Area Specialist (OAS) roles.
- Employ strong leadership skills, develop business plans for their regions and implement national sales strategies.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the evolving oncology marketplace and its various customer segments.
Qualifications
- A minimum of relevant experience in sales/management in Oncology, with a preference for experience as an Oncology Business Director and involvement in product launches.
- Proven track record in sales and leadership performance. Experience in product marketing.
- Familiarity with Oral Oncolytics and Specialty Pharmacy is beneficial. (Preferred)
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities who may require them.

- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and current sales reports and performance documentation.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.

Education
