Role Summary
Syndax Pharmaceuticals is looking for an Oncology Account Manager β St. Louis, MO. The role supports the momentum of Syndaxβs product launches by meeting sales targets and tailoring resources to meet customer needs through a deep understanding of requirements.
Responsibilities
- Holistically support and manage territory accounts by creating relationships with physicians, allied healthcare professionals, and business stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of territory, influencers, treatment trends, payer dynamics, and competitive opportunities and challenges.
- Analyze business performance and create/execute a comprehensive territory plan, develop account plans, deliver branded sales messages, execute programs, and achieve sales targets.
- Demonstrate clinical/disease/product expertise and deliver strategic customer education.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and execution of key strategies/tactics.
- Implement processes for patient identification and treatment management.
- Develop external relationships with account stakeholders to service and manage accounts.
- Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle and build the brand while serving patients.
- Leverage oncology/disease state awareness and industry changes to deliver results.
Qualifications
- BA/BS or healthcare equivalent degree required.
- Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or medical sales experience with a strong preference for Oncology/Hematology.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace and broader healthcare trends.
- Collaborative, team-oriented, and successful in a matrixed setting.
- Strong negotiation, partnering, and influencing skills.
- Experience managing relationships with external strategic partners; prior work with large accounts/hospitals.
- Successful product launch experience; prior pharma/biotech startup experience preferred.
- Technologically savvy with ability to use data/analytics to drive results.
- Ability to travel frequently (overnight) with occasional weekend travel.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
