Role Summary
Oncology/Hematology Account Manager responsible for managing sales and business activities within a defined geographic area, driving area sales results, and increasing patient access to GSK therapies.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for driving area sales results and ensuring open patient access to GSK therapies.
- Develop and execute area business plans.
- Identify and apply resources to the development of key prescribers/key account drivers within area.
- Engage proactively with key customers and account groups to promote GSK therapies and the company image.
- Work cross-functionally to maximize brand availability and exposure within key accounts.
- Collaborate with team and Regional Sales Director to ensure successful launch and ongoing promotion of branded products.
- Engage with Regional Sales Director and cross-functional partners on the development of programs and activities that will result in increased access to customers.
Qualifications
- Required: 4-year BA/BS degree from an accredited institution
- Required: 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, Biologic/Specialty sales experience and/or 3+ years Clinical Oncology experience, oncology education, patient care skills, and direct physician interface
- Required: Valid Driverβs License; must be able to drive or operate a vehicle
- Required: Must live in geography; relocation assistance not provided
- Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight/weekend travel
- Preferred: 2+ years of Oncology or Specialty sales experience; Health System/Institutional experience
- Preferred: Experience selling multiple-myeloma and/or myelofibrosis products
- Preferred: Product marketing, specialty pharmacy, payer and state society experience
- Preferred: Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Preferred: Excellent oral and written communication skills for interfacing with all levels of management and departments
