Oncology Account Manager (Hematology) Buffalo, NY

Position Summary:
Manage a defined territory to build trusted, collaborative relationships with oncology care teams. Create and deliver clear territory plans to improve patient access and drive measurable results. Partner with medical affairs, market access, and commercial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with oncologists, nurse navigators, specialty pharmacists, and institutional accounts in your territory.
- Create and execute territory business plans aligned with regional and national goals.
- Identify high-value prescribers/accounts and focus resources on clinical and operational priorities.
- Partner cross-functionally to improve patient access and ensure timely availability of therapies.
- Use customer insights/data to prioritize actions, set measurable goals, and track performance.
- Support local launches and field programs through coordinated, compliant activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical/biologic/specialty sales or clinical oncology experience with direct physician/institutional engagement.
- Valid driverβs license; ability to drive in assigned territory.
- Residence within/near assigned territory (no relocation assistance).
- Travel within territory and occasionally beyond (typically 30β50%), including overnight stays.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; influence without authority.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years oncology or specialty sales (health system/institutional account experience preferred).
- Experience in hematology or solid tumor care.
- Experience with infusion therapies or complex product handling.
- Familiarity with specialty pharmacy, payer engagement, or account-based strategies.
- Proven ability to build/execute territory plans and meet targets; strong organizational skills.
Work arrangement:
Field-based; driving is essential.
Compensation/Benefits (US):
Annual base salary: $161,250β$268,750; annual bonus; eligibility for share-based long-term incentive. Benefits include health care/insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
