Operations
Responsibilities:
- Own the transfer of newly developed biochemical reagents, proteins, antibodies, and sequencing assays from R&D to commercial.
- Design, develop, and optimize scale-up studies to improve yield, stability, and robustness of complex formulations and processes.
- Author SOPs, batch records, and technical reports while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and provide technical support to resolve production-line anomalies during pilot and production phases.
- Partner with R&D to help establish QC release criteria and specifications for manufactured reagents.
- Perform hands-on laboratory and production work, including reagent formulation, conjugation, and analytical sample preparation.
Requirements:
- PhD (chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related) with 2β3 years industry experience; or MS with 3β5 years; or BS with 5β7+ years relevant industry experience.
- Deep knowledge of protein biochemistry, protein purification, reagent formulation, or analytical chemistry (HPLC, MS, FPLC).
- Experience with BOM setup using Arena/Agile; costing analysis; supply chain setup; and vendor management.
- Hands-on experience in controlled development or manufacturing environment (ISO 9001 & ISO 13485).
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills; ability to document processes and train others on SOP execution.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with project tracking tools (Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar).
- Willingness to work hands-on in the lab and production environment.
- Demonstrated project management skills to meet timelines and deliverables.
Compensation Range: $126K - $182K
Location/Work Mode: San Carlos, CA; full-time onsite presence.
