Role Summary

The Neuroscience Sales Specialist is a strategic, results-driven professional responsible for significant sales growth and profitability within a defined territory through compliant, ethical solutions. The role requires account-based selling, building strong office relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and exceed performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport and relationships with regional team members and external contacts at all levels, addressing needs appropriately
  • Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product and patient education
  • Strategically manage and grow key accounts by tailoring solutions to meet their needs and achieve sales targets
  • Regularly review and analyze sales data to create territory plans and manage promotional budget funds
  • Address external market challenges while fostering collaboration with internal teams to drive cohesive sales strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse expertise
  • Maintain call averages as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on top target customers
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to improve performance in the geographic assignment
  • Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines
  • Achieve all sales performance goals and complete administrative duties for the geographical assignment

Qualifications

  • Education/Certification/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field; at least 1 year of full-time B2B sales experience; pharmaceutical sales experience strongly preferred
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Proven record of accomplishments in the market; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with HCPs in person and virtually; proficiency with technology; knowledge of reimbursement/managed care/marketing preferred; experience with new product launches and broad therapeutic areas preferred; ability to pass background, motor, and drug screening; valid US driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience Levels: Sales Specialist – minimum 1 year; Executive Sales Specialist – minimum 7 years

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related field

  • Regular travel, which may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel
