Position Summary
The Neuroscience Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving sales goals within the assigned territory by building strong customer relationships, delivering compliant and compelling product education, and driving appropriate patient access.
Primary Responsibilities
- Promote Acadia products to HCPs in person and virtually with clinical, disease state, and reimbursement information.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan to meet/exceed sales objectives using market data and customer insights.
- Establish and maintain relationships with HCPs (including key opinion leaders), advocacy organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Address customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced dialogue and selling skills.
- Tailor approved sales aids, clinical reprints, and brand resources to customer needs.
- Partner with internal teams (managed markets, operations, sales training, marketing) for coordinated solutions.
- Advise on pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution channels as a liaison for access-related issues.
- Track and report sales activities, expenses, and customer interactions.
- Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, and trainings.
- Mentor/train new sales specialists and support cross-functional projects.
Knowledge & Expertise / Required Skills
- Deep understanding of neuroscience disease states, Acadia products, and local market dynamics; trusted resource to the medical community.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (Zoom, WebEx).
- Strong grasp of payer dynamics (Part D; specialty pharmacy/hub distribution).
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required (life sciences preferred).
- 3 years sales experience (β₯1 year pharmaceutical/healthcare sales); neuroscience emphasis preferred.
- Advanced selling skills; leadership/business acumen; proven influence with diverse HCP audiences.
- Strong communication/interpersonal/negotiation skills; ability to work independently and adapt.
- Must reside within territory (or within 30 miles) and have a valid driverβs license.
- Ability to meet travel requirements (significant driving/overnights; air travel as needed) and comply with vaccination requirements for HCP access/long-term care/conferences.

Compensation
- $92,000β$115,000 USD salary range.
