Role Summary
Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) for the NY-NJ District.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a specialty sales team focused on CNS/psychiatry products within the district.
Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing district-level sales representatives.
Demonstrate strong clinical and strategic selling capabilities to achieve above-average results.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and leadership skills.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective deployment of resources and programs.
Maintain relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and state/local authorities to meet credentialing requirements.
Travel up to 75% as required by district needs.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree a plus.
Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or depression; other specialty experience considered.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives.
Documented high performance in sales and leadership roles.
Driver’s license with clean driving history.
Ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities; compliance with state/local regulations.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to build positive relationships.
Strong analytical and business acumen; ability to think strategically and act tactically.
Must reside near a major airport within the district.
Ability to operate effectively in an innovative, changing environment; experience in small company/start-up settings is a plus.

Leadership and people management; coaching and development of sales representatives.
Clinical acumen with patient-centric and tactical selling approach; excellent communication skills.
Self-motivated, independent, and able to make sound decisions; strong work ethic.
Effective selling and presentation skills; ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree preferred.
