Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) for the NY-NJ District. Leads and develops a specialty sales team focused on CNS/psychiatry products, driving performance and strategic execution within the district.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing teams of specialty sales representatives.
  • Lead and coach the sales team to achieve above-average results and meet district targets.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, customer facilities, and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen to inform sales strategies and decisions.
  • Manage operations in a dynamic, innovative work environment and adapt to roadblocks quickly.
  • Travel up to 75% as required to support district activities.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or related areas.
  • Must have a proven track record of sales performance and leadership excellence.
  • Driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.
  • Ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, facilities, and government entities.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop teams; ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • Strong analytical, business acumen, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district.
  • Ability to thrive in small company/start-up environments and maintain effectiveness in an innovative work setting.
