Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) for the NY-NJ District.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of specialty sales representatives in the neuroscience/psychiatry space.
  • Recruit, retain, and nurture high-performing sales talent; coach and mentor the team.
  • Manage and optimize district performance to achieve above-average results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure successful execution of sales strategies.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders.
  • Navigate credentialing requirements and maintain compliance within state/local regulations.
  • Utilize strong analytical and business acumen to make informed decisions and drive results.
  • Travel up to 75% as required to cover the district.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression; other specialty experience will be considered.
  • Required: Proven ability to recruit, retain and develop a high-performing specialty sales team; documented high performance in sales and leadership roles.
  • Required: Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Required: Ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Required: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
  • Required: Strong analytical and business acumen; ability to adapt in an innovative work environment.
  • Required: Must reside near a major airport within the district.
  • Required: Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
