Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) β€šΓ„Γ¬ Mid-Atlantic District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performing specialty sales team within the psychiatry/ CNS remit, focusing on neuroscience products.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop field-based sales representatives; coach and mentor to achieve above-average results.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders; ensure credentialing requirements are met.
  • Analyze market dynamics, develop strategic plans, and drive execution to meet district objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product access, messaging, and territory coverage.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
  • Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Specialty experience preferred: CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression; other specialty experience considered.
  • Documented high performance in sales and leadership roles; ability to recruit and develop top performers.
  • Driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history; ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; ability to build and sustain relationships; analytical and business acumen.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district; comfortable working in innovative environments; experience in small company/start-up settings.

Skills

  • Excellent people management and supervisory capabilities; coaching and mentoring of specialty sales representatives.
  • Clinical, patient-centric focus with strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, able to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree a plus.
