Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - Mid-Atlantic District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives in the neuroscience/psychiatry space.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop talent; coach and mentor team members to achieve superior results.
  • Develop and execute district sales strategies to drive product adoption in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and related specialties.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on clinical messaging, training, and operational execution.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyze market data, and adjust plans to achieve district goals.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceuticals industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression; other specialty experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop high performing team of specialty sales representatives; documented high performance in sales and leadership.
  • Driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history; ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen; highly clinical, patient-centric and tactical with excellent communication skills.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district; ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Experience in small company and start-up environments; ability to adapt in an innovative work environment.

  • Excellent people management and supervisory skills; ability to develop and coach specialty sales representatives.
  • Strong selling and presentation skills; dynamic and high-impact performer.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
