Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - Mid-Atlantic District. Lead and develop a high-performing specialty sales team focused on CNS/psychiatry therapeutic areas within the district; drive sales performance, strategic account management, and physician engagement to grow market share.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of specialty sales representatives to achieve sales goals and performance objectives.
  • Recruit, retain, and build high-performing district teams; manage performance and provide ongoing development.
  • Develop and execute district business plans, including territory coverage, account targeting, and resource allocation.
  • Assemble and deliver clinical and product-focused presentations to healthcare professionals; provide medical and scientific information as appropriate.
  • Foster strong relationships with key customers, healthcare facilities, and state/local authorities to support credentialing and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and performance metrics; adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product launches, promotions, and educational initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceuticals industry with 4 years of Sales Management experience preferred.
  • Preferred: CNS/psychiatry/shcology experience (schizophrenia, bipolar, depression) or other specialty experience.
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop high performing team of specialty sales representatives; documented high performance in sales and leadership.
  • Required: Driver’s license and clean driving history; ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Required: Ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, facilities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Required: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
  • Required: Strong analytical and business acumen; ability to work in an innovative environment; experience in small company/start-up settings.
