Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - Carolinas District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a specialty sales team focused on neuroscience/psychiatry products within the Carolinas district.
  • Recruit, retain, and coach high-performing sales representatives; provide mentorship and guidance to drive above-average results.
  • Establish and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders; ensure credentialing requirements are secured and maintained.
  • Analyze market dynamics, develop strategic plans, and execute activities to achieve district goals; adapt to an innovative work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clinical and operational alignment; manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Travel up to 75% to cover the district and support field activities.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree; an advanced degree is a plus
    • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of Sales Management experience preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop a specialty sales team
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to secure and maintain healthcare provider credentialing and comply with state/local requirements
    • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships; high level of business acumen and analytical capability
    • Must reside near a major airport within the district; valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history
    • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Preferred:
    • Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or related areas
    • Experience in small company and start-up environments

  • Excellent clinical understanding and patient-centric approach
  • Effective selling, presentation, and coaching skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and capability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree is a plus
