Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - Carolinas District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a specialty sales team within the neuroscience/psychiatry focused portfolio.
  • Recruit, retain, and mentor high-performing sales representatives; drive compliance and performance standards.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and stakeholders; maintain industry credentials as required.
  • Operate with clinical insight and patient-centric approach to achieve district goals; manage multiple priorities and adapt to an innovative work environment.
  • Utilize strong analytical and business acumen to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Travel up to 75% as required to cover the district.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing specialty sales team; documented high performance in sales and leadership roles.
  • Required: Driver’s license and clean driving history; ability to obtain and maintain provider facilities credentialing as needed.
  • Required: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; ability to build positive relationships; strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Preferred: CNS/psychiatry/schizophrenia/bipolar/depression specialty experience; experience in small company or start-up environments.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district.

Skills

  • Excellent people management and supervisory skills; ability to coach and mentor specialty sales representatives.
  • Clinical, patient-centric, and tactical communication abilities (interpersonal, verbal, written).
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to make sound decisions; strong selling and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities; technological proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodations as needed.
