Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in West Palm / Ft. Lauderdale. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy directions related to product promotion.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of the product in the defined territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate persuasively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities as part of continued employment.
  • Undertake additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred;Associate role considered for shorter experience.
  • Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal- and results-driven; hunter mentality.
  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel (including overnights); may require out-of-territory travel to HQs and meetings.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within the territory geography.

  • Clinical and patient-centric focus; ability to navigate complex markets.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-priority management.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to manage travel and reporting systems.

Education

  • BS or BA required (GPA > 3.0).

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and acceptable driving record; ability to operate a vehicle for local, regional, and occasional overnight travel.
