Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) β€šΓ„Γ¬ West Palm / Ft. Lauderdale. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory. Reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the defined territory.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory (budgets, time, etc.).
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; Associate role considered for candidates not meeting experience.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management; reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal- and results-driven; hunter mentality.
  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays; possible out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and meetings; some meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; strong presentation skills.
  • Clinical, patient-centric focus with the ability to navigate complex markets.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Computer proficiency and adaptability to reporting systems.

Education

  • BS or BA required; GPA > 3.0.
