Primary Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy for product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, disease areas, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in the territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Education & Experience Requirements
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; may be considered for an “Associate” role if not met.
- Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred specialty experience: psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter; goal- and results-driven.
- “Hunter” mentality; ability to sell and compete.
- Strong territory relationships/knowledge preferred.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights); out-of-territory travel to HQ/training/meetings may be required.
- Must reside within territory geography.

- Goal/results driven; clinical and patient-centric; excellent interpersonal/verbal/written communication.
- Navigate complex markets; strong work ethic and organizational skills; effective selling/presentation.
- Independently manage multiple priorities; adjust quickly to roadblocks.
- Computer proficient; maintain valid driver’s license; may lift/move up to 15 pounds.
