Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on exceeding goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within a high-performance sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance and results to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and governments as a condition of continued employment.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; consideration for Associate role if requirements are not met.
  • Specialty experience: Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred; psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management considered.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Relationships with psychiatrists or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.
  • Personal: Self-starter, goal- and results-driven; hunter mentality; strong territory knowledge; ability to travel (overnights possible); willingness for occasional travel to HQs/training; ability to work outside normal hours.

  • Strong communication (interpersonal, verbal, written) and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Customer-focused, self-motivated; proficient with computers.

Education

  • BS or BA; GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside within territory geography; may require lifting up to 15 pounds.
  • Travel may include overnight and out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings.
