Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion strategy.
- Analyze the local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in the territory.
- Communicate persuasively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budgets.
- Complete monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (non-matching candidates may be considered for “Associate”).
- Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred: specialty experience in psychiatry/bipolar/depression/CNS or pain management.
- Preferred: reimbursement experience; relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory (or within 24 months).
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
- Hunter mentality; self-starter with proven results.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights); work hours may include outside normal times; must reside in territory geography.
