Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) β San Francisco, CA. Responsible for executing and promoting products within the assigned territory, achieving sales goals, and delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of the product in the territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease area, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Adhere to credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and government entities.
- Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; Associate role considered for those not meeting experience.
- Atypical antipsychotic or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter, goal- and results-driven; proven track record of above-average results.
- Hunter mentality with ability to compete and sell.
- Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights); some travel to HQs and training may be required.
- Work hours may extend beyond normal business hours.
- Must reside within territory geography.

Additional Requirements
