Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Riverside, CA. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, disease areas, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Handle additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; candidates not meeting experience may be considered for Associate role.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with results-driven, hunter mentality.
  • Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred.
  • Ability to travel (including overnights) and potential out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and meetings.
  • Flexible work hours including meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Proficiency in using computer systems for reporting and tracking.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to drive as required.

Education

  • BS or BA degree.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel locally and to HQs/trainings; occasional lifting up to 15 pounds may be required.
