Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Richmond, VA. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy related to product promotion.
  • Analyze local market, develop and monitor performance to maximize product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; Associate role considered for candidates not meeting experience.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goal and results orientation; hunter mentality.
  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel (including overnights); may require out-of-territory travel to HQs and training.
  • Work hours may extend beyond normal working hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and occasionally overnight.

Education

  • BS or BA degree required; GPA > 3.0.
