Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) - Pittsburgh, PA North. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet reasonable credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; associates considered if not meeting experience requirements.
  • Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, results-driven with a hunter mentality.
  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including overnights; may require out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and meetings.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Clinical and patient-centric approach with ability to navigate complex markets.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using sales and reporting systems.
  • Driverโ€šร„รดs license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel locally and regionally.

Education

  • BS or BA required.
