Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate frequently with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion strategy.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the defined territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (e.g., budgets, time) in the territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement in institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete required monitoring and reporting (expenses, call reporting) using approved systems.
- Meet credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (non-matching candidates may be considered for โAssociateโ role).
- Preferred: atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience; specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management; reimbursement experience.
- Preferred relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers (existing or within 24 months).
- Valid driverโs license; clean driving history.
- Self-starter with proven above-average results; โhunterโ mentality.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights) and work off-hours meetings.
- Must reside within territory geography.
