Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Phoenix, AZ North. Responsible for delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services, exceeding established goals, and collaborating with the District Sales Manager to guide product promotion activities within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of the product in the defined territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
- Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
- Candidates not meeting experience requirements may be considered for the Associate role.
- Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record.
- Fortitude to compete with a hunter mentality.
- Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights); travel to HQs, training, and meetings may be required.
- Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
- Must reside within territory geography.
