Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Maryland West. This role is focused on delivering value to customers through differentiated neuroscience products and services within an assigned territory, achieving established sales goals and maintaining deep product and market knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.).
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
- Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Valid driverβΓΓ΄s license and clean driving history.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights) and reside within territory.
- Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record.
- Strong territory knowledge and ability to build relationships with psychiatrists and Community Mental Health Centers.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle for local, regional, and occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to meet essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to lift/move items up to 15 pounds (as needed).
- Preferred: 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management; atypical antipsychotic or orphan drug experience; reimbursement experience; existing or recent relationships with psychiatrists/CMHCs; prior experience in the territory.
