Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Maryland West. The role aims to exceed set goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services, within an innovative and high-performance sales organization.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budgets.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Participate in additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: BS or BA with GPA > 3.0
- Required: Valid driverโรรดs license and a clean driving history
- Required: Ability to travel (may include overnights)
- Required: Must reside within territory geography
- Required: Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for the Associate role if not meeting all work experience requirements
- Preferred: Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
- Preferred: Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience
- Preferred: Psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management experience
- Preferred: Reimbursement experience
- Preferred: Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers within the territory
- Preferred: Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record
- Preferred: Strong territory knowledge and relationships
- Preferred: Willingness to travel and participate in HQ trainings and meetings
