Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Kansas City, MO East. Responsible for exceeding goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the defined territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitors, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities as a condition of employment.
- Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; associates considered if not meeting required experience.
- Experience with atypical antipsychotics and/or orphan drugs preferred.
- Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset; hunter mentality.
- Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
- Ability to travel (including overnights); may require travel to HQs for training and meetings.
- Work hours may extend beyond normal schedule; must reside within territory.
