Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Hudson River Valley responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of the product in the defined territory.
- Maintain a current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
- Maintain full compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and governmental entities as needed for continued employment.
- Other ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; may consider applicants for an Associate role if experience is lacking.
- Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter with proven results, hunter mentality, and strong territory knowledge.
- Ability to travel, including overnights; some travel to HQs or meetings may be required.
- Work hours may extend beyond normal business hours.
- Must reside within the territory geography.
